Pizza Time
About This Spot
Stepping into Pizza Time feels like slipping into a familiar, no-frills neighborhood spot where the focus is squarely on simple, satisfying food and friendly service. Nestled quietly in a Monterey Park strip mall, the modest exterior belies the warmth found just inside. The pace is unhurried, and there’s a comforting hum of conversation mingling with the occasional clatter from the kitchen—an honest rhythm that invites both quick stops and lingering moments.
The atmosphere leans into casual and approachable, perfect for gathering around a table with family, friends, or that go-to solo break after a long day. Plenty of parking nearby makes it easy to pop in whether it’s a relaxed weekday dinner or a busy weekend night. You’ll notice a steady flow of regulars who clearly appreciate the old-school approach, where a large pizza isn’t hiding behind a misleading name but offers genuine, hearty slices meant to be shared.
Beyond the welcoming vibe, the heart of Pizza Time lies in its straightforward, thoughtfully prepared menu. The pizzas come with a wholesome heft—not thin crust, not Chicago deep dish—landing somewhere invitingly in the middle, with toppings piled generously. The kitchen turns out each pie fresh, giving that satisfying feeling of heat and aroma right from the oven. For those who wander beyond the pie, the calzones, pastas, and salads echo this same attention, crafting meals that feel lovingly made rather than rushed.
What stands out most is the blend of familiarity and care—there’s enough variety to keep things interesting, from classic pepperoni slices to more distinctive offerings like BBQ chicken pizza or lemon pepper wings. And whether you’re dining in or picking up, the staff’s easy friendliness adds a quietly human layer to the experience, making Pizza Time more than just a quick bite; it’s a neighborhood spot with roots in genuine, cozy Italian-American comfort.

This is old school pizza, unlike the corporate guys where a "large" pizza is actually a medium here at Pizza Time... they're almost hidden in this strip mall but at least there was plenty of parking. It's not exactly thin crust but it's not Chicago style either. Looking at the other reviews, I'll have to order the pasta next time...

This place has plenty of parking spots if you come in the evening not sure about day time. Anyways the food was worth the price. The BBQ chicken pizza was a hit and like it. I got the mini size. I also got the lemon pepper wings and they didn't disappoint. Can soda is $1 and the total cost for all the food I got was $30. It's pretty pricey but worth it. I recommend coming with family or friends and sharing food since I wasn't able to finish all that. My fault for eating with my eyes lol but yeah check them out.

This place was recommended to me by a friend in ELAC so I decided to give it a try on Saturday after Chemistry. The one employee that was working there was friendly and wasn’t inpatient when I was deciding what to order. The pizza itself is very fresh and has a satisfying taste. The pizza is made on the spot and they give it to you right after the oven. Overall, it’s a very nice pizza shop tasty food and a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend it for a bite or for takeout.

Ordered the a large the works at Friday at 8:40pm. It was raining that night. I was told the pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. I drove over and entered the restaurant at 9:05pm and they were bringing out my order. Pizza was very heavy. Impossible to carry with one hand. It seemed like the pizza was placed in the box and then cut because the cardboard underneath had lines and the bottom of the box was buckling. Pizza tasted great after reheating. Total cost with tip was $35 dollars.

My go-to spot for some tasty pizza! Service is quick and friendly. I've tried their pizza, calzone, and sandwich which are all great. Makes it difficult at times to choose what to order, but I often go with the 2-topping mini pizza. Definitely worth trying!

It's a small shop on the side of the plaza building and kind of hidden. It's unfortunate because it is a pretty good pizza spot. I ordered the lemon pepper wings because it seems popular and a meatball sub. The wings are generally good. I was expecting something similar to wing stop but this is a pretty different version. I believe they seasoned it with pepper and cooked it, then squeezed lemon juice over. So it's a bit wet also. It's a bit more sour than I expected and the flavor profile is not my personal preference, but still good wings regardless. The meatball sub is my favorite. It comes with 3 large quality meatballs. The tomato sauce flavor is spot on and the texture is tender. I believe the bread is made with their pizza dough, and works great with the meatballs. I love the added melted cheese texture on top. It came with chopped chile pepper that add a nice crunch and sourness to contrast the chewy and rich sub. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Everything seems to be made fresh and takes a while, so I'd recommend calling your order ahead.
